Lucky he's a tough kid!
RRD did pretty well... a first & three 2nds in the open classes as well as Jespers 7th in the pro's.

From Ledge to Lancelin:
Matthew Gwynne at the start. We thought there was no wind so Matthew took the X Fire 102 and a 7.5. Bit of a mistake, but he was still the only junior to finish the race.
Matthew had the Channel 10 helicopter follow him out during his test sail and there was some good footage of him on the news.

From Margaret River on the RRD Wave Thruster 68.

Matthew wipes out big time. Unfortunately lost the rig to the ocean after this and smashed up the board a little so no more sailing today.
All that swim training comes in handy in conditions like this. Glad it wasn't me!!!
