ciao guys,
yesterday we had some huge swell 5-6m and we had to get on it!
Myself, Roberto and a friend Andrew headed out at Charmers for some insane waves!
Later in the afternoon we decided to go do a downwinder which was insane!
Some spots were maxing out and Roberto said thats some of the spots were about 15ft!
But what a day we had!
Notice Roberto was throwing it down with some airs! on his NEW secret weapon!

SAKT FINAL PRIZEGIVING DAY

Today we had the prizegiving and final result of the South African Kite Tour 2011-2012.
Luke Mc Gillewie, our SA rider got the following results for the year end:

1° place in Mens PRO Wave

2°place in Mens PRO Freestyle

2°place in Mens PRO OVERALL YEAR END.

I am very happy about this result and look fwd to a fantastic season with Luke during 2012.

Luke @ SKAT comp

hey guys,

sorry for the delay, on friday we had some racing at the SAKT, I was doing really good 2nd to the first mark and then i was racing downwind and hit a huge chop and i twisted my foot in my strap on the k-race 70 so I didn't get a good result with the racing, but with all the new race gear we can kick ass!

On saturday we had the wave riding which is by far my best discipline I went through some really good heats managing to make it to the final! and then i found out that i was against Kevin Langeree! I'm not
100% sure about my result but i will keep you guys updated tomorrow!

Sunday was a bad day for me going into my first heat i was ready but still with my sore foot! my 2nd handle pass my leash came off and I lost my kite, but Roberto had just finished rigging my kite so i swam in and got my 9m Obsession. I managed to still make it, the next heat I wasn't so lucky and I got knocked out!

Today we have the doubles so i have a good chance to make it to the
final again!

SAKT kite beach

Hey everyone!

The start of the final SAKT is tomorrow and the conditions are looking great!

At the last moment I got a e-mail from the event organiser asking if there is anyone interested to sponsor the event and i was sitting right next to roberto! Anyway he agreed to sponsor the event in return
for a full section of the beach for demos! so if you in Cape Town from tomorrow till monday you are more than welcome to come give the kites and boards a try, Roberto and myself will be there for and questions or tips! swing past! you will see us on the beach!
I will send you guys some more info tomorrow!

SAKT Langebaan final.

Hey guys,

I've just awoken after a solid 5 days of comp between the sup contest in Cape Town and the kite comp in langebaan… we had some really good wind 4 days of comp and 4 days of wind it was super good, we started off with racing on the first day I was on my 16m RRD Addiction with 30m lines and I just had enough power to get me through. I ended up with a 4th for the racing which I'm sure I can improve… 

Day 2 we started the Pro Freestyle. I made it through to the singles getting a 3rd on day two. 

Day 3 we started a little bit late as the wind came up in the afternoon and we started with the doubles which gave me another chance to get a better ranking. I went through some really tough heats and I
ended up man on man against Oswald Smith. In the last 20seconds I pulled a front mobe 2 blind which was a 1st for me... I was super stoked but that wasn't enough… it put me 2nd against Ossie...

Yesterday the last day we decided to have wave riding in some really bad conditions everyone on 7's and over powered but we managed I still went through some hard heats and I pushed through to the winners final, against Oswald again. BUT this time he came out 2nd best putting me on top for the waves. I'm super happy with the results and more so with the RRD Obsession Pro's and RRD Obsession MKIV really solid smooth kites and the most important part of kiting my boards! 

The new Style 40 is the most amazing freestyle board I have ever ridden ...so smooth…
and the Maquina 5'11 wow! works in every thing!
